Need help with my sims 2 kids. They won't go to school.?

I'm doing the rainbow legacy. So i wanted my kids to go to private school. I didn't want to go through the whole "invite headmaster, make diner, get rejected" sort of thing. I heard that you could use the scenario tester. I did, and now my kids wont go to school. Also, when you look in the jobs/school the time says 12 am to 12 am, and none of the days are highlighted. Can some one tell me how to fix it please! I really want my kids to go to school. I also have 2 toodlers.
