What's the best Christmas Tree to buy?

I usually purchase a Douglas Fur because it is soft....BUT does anyone know of a certain tree that holds it needles the LONGEST and holds heavy ornaments?? But I don't necessarily want it to jag me to death either. Any info. is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
