What is done during a pelvic exam?

I'm getting the procedure done tomorrow because I may have some ovarian cysts and they are having me drink 30oz of water before. My primary physician mentioned a probe but I'm not entirely sure about anything that is going to occur. I'm really nervous and would greatly appreciate some info.
