Do you not have a lot if blood your first period?

So I got it yesterday and it was like a small line to my vv hole to the beginning of my the pad (which I put at the beginning of the white part of your undies). I had wiped earlier and there was a little bit of brownish read stuff and we have pads just in the closet (because of my sister). So I left the pad in and a little bit more brownish blood came not alot so kept it in all day and before bed there was nothing more so I just took out the pad and then in the morning there was only a little bit of blood so I put a pad in. Then after church we went to a restuarant and I checked it and there was like a little bit of blood then I just checked it now and there's like a haze of blood around my vv hole... So do you not have a lot if blood your first period or something? Thanks!
