Doesn't the punishment PFC Manning is facing if convicted seem kind weak?

For betrayal of his battle buddies, for leaking clified doents, for not giving a dam about anyone but himself, for being a total disgrace to his unit, the Army, The US Armed Forces, and indeed the human species.
