Does anyone know what the green squiggly lines under some words in an an email message are?

I copied and pasted a message in MS Word to edit it. The green lines appeared under a couple dozen words. I found that if I changed punctuation or a different word in the doent, that the line would disappear. In some cases even if I changed the word the green line would reappear under the new word.
